EnrolmentOur Policy
Glenroy Private is a comprehensive co-educational Prep – Year 12 Islamic school offering education underpinned by Islamic values and operating within the requirements of the Department of Education and Training.
The purpose of this document is to assist the School in providing and implementing a step-by-step application and enrolment process which provides a transparent and consistent reference point to both those seeking enrolment and those responsible for enrolment at the school. All applications will be processed in order of receipt and consideration will be given to the applicant’s support for the ethos of the school, siblings already attending the school and other criteria determined by the school from time to time. Once enrolled, students are expected to support the school’s principles and comply with the school rules to maintain the enrolment.
GUIDELINES
Waiting list
- If a parent and child do not attend the interview or the entrance assessment, without notifying the school of the reason, the child’s name will be removed from the waitlist.
- All placements are subject to withdrawal of offer by Glenroy Private, should circumstances under which the offer was made prior to enrolment.
Enrolment Considerations
- It is essential that parents understand Glenroy Private’s Philosophy and a desire for their children to participate fully in the life of the school. Once a child is enrolled, parents are advised to further their knowledge of Glenroy Private as their child progresses through the school by attending all parent information evenings, visiting the school, keeping open and constant communication, and supporting the school principles.
- Before your child is offered a place at Glenroy Private, the following factors are considered:
- Interview and Entrance exam (entrance exam, previous school report,).
- Current student numbers, application date, age, balance in the classroom, child’s readiness for school, learning needs, academic and behaviour record.
- Sibling priority is not guaranteed. Preference will normally be given to siblings of children attending the school, provided the family has continued to demonstrate support for the school.
Conditions for Acceptance
- On acceptance of the offer of an enrolment at Glenroy Private, the following conditions must be agreed upon to:
- The non-refundable, non-transferable $200 Enrolment Fee is paid in advance.
- That once students are enrolled, they are expected to support the school’s ethos and comply with the enrolment policy to maintain theirenrolment.
- A child’s enrolment may be withdrawn by the school if these conditions aren’t agreed upon.
Probationary Period
- In certain circumstances, a student may be accepted on a ‘conditional enrolment’ which is usually a probationary period of one semester (two terms) for new students. At the end of the probationary period, parents are advised of the continuation or termination of their child’s enrolment. The probationary period may be extended at the discretion of the School Principal.

The Enrolment Process
Glenroy Private welcomes applications for enrolment for all year levels, Prep to Year 11.
Important Information about Prep Enrolments
- Children must be five years old by 31 January in the year they commence Prep.
Before you begin your application, please ensure you have the following documentation available (where applicable):
- Birth Certificate
- Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR)
- Proof of Temporary or Permanent Residency (if applicable)
- Most recent school report
- Kindergarten transition report (Prep applicants only)
- Court Order/Restriction documentation (if applicable)
- Specialist Reports, Medical Action or Management Plans (if applicable)
Note: Where both parents are born overseas, proof of residency is required.
Expression of Interest
- Parents/carers first register their interest via the online Expression of Interest Form.
- Applications cannot be processed until all documentation is received.
- An application is not a guarantee of admission.

Application Assessment

- All applicants are required to undertake an entrance exam.
- Prep students will also complete an assessment.
- You will be contacted by our Admissions Team with details of the scheduled assessment.
- The Head of Admissions will review your child’s application, results, and (if applicable) interview outcomes.
- Families will then be contacted regarding the next steps.
- All applicants are required to undertake an entrance exam.
Offer of Enrolment
- Parents will be notified of the application outcome via email:
- Successful – offered a place at Glenroy Private.
- Unsuccessful – application not proceeding.
- Waiting List – placed on hold for future availability.
- Successful applicants will receive a formal Offer of Enrolment.
- To secure your child’s place, parents must complete the Enrolment Package and submit the non-refundable Enrolment fee and yearly tuition fee by the deadline.
