Mathematics
Mathematics involves the development of students’ thinking, understanding, competence and confidence in the application of mathematics.
1. Working Mathematically

3. Patterns and Algebra
4. Measurement and Data
5. Space and Geometry
Mathematics incorporates the processes of questioning, reflecting, reasoning and proof. It is a powerful tool for problem solving. Students’ numeracy and underlying mathematical understanding will be enhanced through engagement with a variety of applications of mathematics to real-world situations and problems in other key learning areas.
Mathematics is based on student centred activities which consists of hands-on resources, group work, mental computation, higher order thinking skills, reflecting on learning, questioning students’ understanding, and assessment for learning.
